Alexander is a violinist from The Bronx, New York, holding a B.M at Boston Conservatory at Berklee studying under Katie Lansdale. He currently is a fellow at the University of Illinois studying Violin Performance and Music Literature under the illustrious Jupiter Quartet. His vibrant career includes participation in the prestigious Sphinx Performance Academy at The Juilliard School, attending the Harvard Chamber Music Festival as well as the Scotia Festival of Music, and significant contributions as mentor and violinist to the Music at Port Milford festival in Ontario for five years. He has an extensive orchestral career currently performing with groups such as the Peoria Symphony Orchestra and the MDSO. His performances include world-class venues (as a solo, chamber, and orchestral musician); such as Lincoln Center with the Mostly Mozart Music Festival, Boston’s Symphony Hall as well as Jordan Hall, and the Juilliard School. He has connected with leading groups like The Silk Road Ensemble and Castle of Our Skins while studying in Boston, working on developing and performing new and forward-thinking compositions. Taking this one step further he teaches all over the country and internationally. Notably being trained in Pedagogical Theory at the Royal Conservatory of Music. Alex has taught a studio in Boston composed of young students from marginalized communities. These students are taught free of charge and are provided instruments to start their journey. Representing the Bronx, New York, Alex is determined to diversify classical music by exploring new and inclusive repertoire; defining a life long commitment to musical excellence while advocating for diversity in the classical music landscape.
